I would of gave this 4 and half if I could but I rounded it up.
It a uncomplicated to use fishfinder that functions. The screen is straightforward to read in any light period....
Its got a tilt screen that moves simply and rotates in practically any path.
I mounted the included transducer by epoxying it to my hull I do not like drilling or attaching any hardware to the outside of my boat simply because its just cleaner not to and I do not have to be concerned about it breaking off or receiving bumped out of position. The transducer worked wonderful the only negative factor is I do not get water temps due to the fact its epoxied to my hull. But if that bothers you can mount it outside of hull or buy the speed and temp gauge add on. I would do the latter personally.
I use this finder even though I am driving my boat It does a fantastic job at letting me know whats going on beneath my boat from slow to moderate rapid. I like having dual beams one for searching the area and when your jigging take it down to the narrow beam.
I had no difficulty with controls or understanding its usage. Just remember if your in a lake that is much less than 125 feet deep set it to shallow water and fine tune it, or set it to auto, its set it and forget it unit that operates very good. If you are like me you can fine adjust it to every single water you go to. It has no problem clearing up the already very good image from the auto setting.
I will in no way spend huge dollars on a unit that will be way less costly in a year or two.
For beneath 200 bucks you will not do any better you could only do worse.
If your in the sun the screen is absolutely unreadable just terrible.
invest even more and get something that is beneficial.
