Buyer Evaluations

This unit is absolutely not the perfect unit out there, but for the price range that it is in, it is difficult to beat. It has amazing clarity in the display. I've utilised a lot of units, and just like each and every 1, if you get the settings and transducer setup properly, it functions amazing. However, if you do not know how to set it up properly or configure the settings on the unit, it definitely will not work appropriately. If you take the time to discover your electronics, it will way more than pay off! This is accurate with this unit as a lot as any of the $1000+ dollar units I have used.
I credit the poor evaluations to this item as poorly setup units, or operators that don't understand how to manipulate the settings inside the unit. Also, reviewers have to don't forget the item they are purchasing, this is a $250 dollar unit. It really is not a $1000 dollar unit, and to anticipate $1000 worth of efficiency would be unreasonable.
If you're seeking for a unit in this value range and do not will need the functionality of quite a few of the high end units, this is the unit for you. Terrific unit for the price tag!

Have had various Lowrance units and was moderately pleased. On the other hand, I purchased this unit mainly because of the detail of the downscan pictures. Upon installing the unit I found there is not enough cable from the transom mount on an 18 foot boat to the consol. Amazingly Lowrance just happens to make an extension cable for an further $30.00. So in order to total the installation I had to order this cable. Right after not receiving a "your order has shipped" e mail they finally told me that they do not have the cable and won't be in stock for an further two weeks. So for 1 month I have a unit that does not perform and wires hanging under the console. Just wondering why Lowrance would not spend the further 20 cents worth of wire so that there would be enough cable for the typical installation. The the actual expense of this unit is closer to
$350.00. Hope this critique aid somebody else prevent this hassle and extra cost.
